The Counter-Terrorism Service is that device that follows tactics, applications, techniques and strategies that the government, the armed forces, and various security departments and agencies rely on to prevent, deter and respond to terrorist threats that terrorist groups actually carry out, are affiliated with or claim responsibility for. The Iraqi armed forces who are physically and mentally competent and skilled. The Anti-Terrorism Law indicates that the objectives of this agency and its forces revolve around combating terrorism in all its forms and eliminating it, setting comprehensive strategic policies to combat terrorism and its development, cooperating with security agencies related to combating terrorism, and carrying out traditional and non-traditional special operations against terrorists and insurgents, carrying out Covert operations against insurgents to prevent attacks, collect information and develop the intelligence work system, by cooperating with the relevant authorities, as well as exchanging, circulating and evaluating information related to combating terrorism inside and outside Iraq, carrying out any other tasks requested by the head of the agency and with the approval of the Ministerial Committee for National Security. The leadership of the anti-terror forces, the force executing the government's plans and strategy, due to its skill, professionalism and field experience in critical emergency facilities according to the training curricula on which it was trained by the best experts in the field of combating terrorism, and the foreign studies that most of its members participated in, making them the elite in this field.
