Abstract

The subject of the research focuses on the federal system in Iraq, which is a political system of government and state administration, although it has roots rooted in ancient times, but it is relatively recent, especially in Iraq and the region surrounding Iraq, as there is no nearby federal state in the region except the United Arab Emirates. Given the newness of this system in Iraq, it will certainly have difficulties in performing and implementing at the political and administrative levels, and one of these difficulties and effects is the impact on security in Iraq, security is the most important duty of the state. Its protection is almost a cornerstone of the existence of the state. Through research, the implications for security are found both in the constitutional texts and in the existing realities.
