الملخص

تحضى تايوان بأهمية جيوبوليتيكية كبيرة من وجهة النظر الصينية، بسبب موقعها الجيوستراتيجي الحيوي الذي يربط جنوب شرق آسيا بشمال شرقها مع منطقة المحيط الهادي، وقوتها الاقتصادية، والتقدم التكنولوجي، وقدرتها العسكرية، ساعدها ذلك في ممارسة دور مركزي في التجارة والاقتصاد الإقليمي والعالمي بالرغم من صغر حجم سكانها ومساحتها، كل ذلك كان حاضراً في المدرك الاستراتيجي الصيني، اذ تعد تايوان هدفاً استراتيجياً صينياً، تسعى الصين الى تحقيقه واحتواءه باي وسيلة، مجمل تلك الظروف جعلت العلاقة الصينية -- التايوانية محفوفة بالتوتر على اغلب الاوقات، اذ تسعى تايوان الى المحافظة على كيانها السياسي وسيادتها واستقلالها ضد قوة الصين المتنامية والطامحة الى ضم تايوان اليها، فالسلوك العدواني المتزايد للصين في بحر الصين الجنوبي زاد من التوتر في المنطقة ومن أهمية تايوان في الحسابات الاستراتيجية الأمريكية، وهذه المصالح المتضاربة ممكن ان تؤدي الى اشتعال المنطقة وجرها الى حرب لا تُحمد عقباها، فضروري جداً ايلاء أهمية للعمل الدبلوماسي لإدارة هذه العلاقة وحل التعقيدات وتجنب استفزاز الصين، وربما يتاح الوقت المناسب للاجيال القادمة لحل المشكلات وإعادة تقييم العلاقات بين البلدين.
