There is no doubt that nature reserves of various types are a necessity of life on planet Earth due to their great importance in preserving natural resources, wildlife, and the landmarks and monuments of ancient civilizations that generations are proud of. In light of this, countries have paid great attention to them in order to preserve their environment and the biological diversity necessary for the fabric of life and the ecosystem and to make them a source of income for governments and their peoples. Despite all of this, we notice the neglect of this aspect in Iraq, which has been rich in nature reserves and archaeological landmarks since ancient times, which has led to the sacrifice of many nature reserves and the exposure of many species of plants and animals to the risk of extinction. On the other hand, there are a large number of countries that have shown great interest in preserving nature reserves in them, and some of them have even reached the point of allocating a national day for nature reserves some countries have established in their constitutions a reference to the need to care for them and develop programs to protect them. Therefore, to preserve as much as possible the health of the various types of nature reserves, legal methods must be followed to protect natural resources.
