The parliamentary regime, as one of the types of political regimes, is characterized by basic principles or characteristics. Although it is flexible, it must be respected so that it can be described as the parliamentary regime. The most important two characteristics of the parliamentary regime are the duality of the executive authority and the existence of a flexible separation of powers based on balanced relations of cooperation, control and reciprocal influence between them. Each of these two characteristics has its own formal and objective conditions and requirements that must be met in order for the regime to be parliamentary and achieve its objective.
