The problem of asylum, since ancient times, is one of the most complex issues facing the world with all its countries, organizations, and structures. It is about the refuge of huge numbers of people, whether women, children or the elderly, in search of a place and a safe haven for them. Asylum is one of the forms of human rights. The concept of refugees is inseparable in itself from the universal idea of human rights. The right to a safe haven is codified in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Since we have entered the third millennium, the world needs to review the mechanisms currently in place for international protection for the problem of asylum and forced displacement, since dealing with this problem in the past was mainly concentrated in specific places and of a nature dedicated to specific cases, which requires us to urgently review this phenomenon and highlight Light on some concepts, especially after the increase in refugee cases in recent years.
