The idea of criminal liability of political parties revolves around the principle of accountability of the legal entity, which is primarily based on holding the legal person accountable for illegal acts committed on its behalf or within the framework of its activity. This principle is new compared to holding natural persons accountable, but it is derived from legislation that stipulates the liability of legal persons, including political parties. The criminal liability of the party is realized if one of its members commits a crime on behalf of the party, so the natural person who committed the crime is held accountable, and the party is also held responsible as a legal person, which leads to imposing penalties on the individual and the party or on the party alone.
