This
research explores the theoretical and intellectual debate surrounding the concept of the "Clash of Civilizations," as articulated by Samuel Huntington in the late 20th century. It examines the cultural and geopolitical dimensions of the thesis and its implications for East-West relations, The study critically analyzes the philosophical and political underpinnings of Huntington’s argument, placing it in its historical and ideological context. It highlights the Arab and Islamic intellectual responses that have proposed a civilizational alternative grounded in dialogue and mutual respect. Relying on analytical and comparative methodologies and focusing on Arabic sources, the study concludes that the clash is not an inevitable destiny. Rather, it can be overcome through a genuine commitment to intercultural dialogue based on shared human values..
