The term peaceful coexistence is one of the important terms, and it is considered as one of the terms that are not modern. It is a term that has prompted the interest of researchers and specialists in the Iraqi affairs after 2003. Peaceful coexistence in Iraq is essential and there are some constraints. The political component of peaceful coexistence in Iraq is a basic and important basis for the rest of the ingredients, such as cultural, social and economic components. It can be said that the political component can be considered a starting point for peaceful coexistence and for the activation of the rest of the elements for peaceful coexistence in Iraq. The political component is may subdivided into several branches, including democracy, with its necessity to consolidate the values and culture of coexistence, and the constitution, with the materials it contains as the pillars of peaceful coexistence in Iraq, as it is top reference to state institutions. Hence its importance in promoting opportunities for peaceful coexistence.One of the basic and important elements of peaceful coexistence in Iraq is the guarantee of all political, social and economic rights for minorities in Iraq of all kinds, as they suffered their political persecution before 2003. The presence of civil society organizations and their effectiveness and ensuring their protection and support by state institutions is a step towards promoting opportunities for peaceful coexistence in Iraq, where these organizations play a fundamental role in spreading a culture of peace among the Iraqi people. Also, the peaceful transfer of power is considered the most important political guarantee to enhance coexistence in Iraq, with this process having positive repercussions on society because political conflicts are reflected on society.
