The electronic transport record is a digitally encrypted document used in modern transportation operations, replacing traditional paper-based bills of lading. It is characterized by ease of access and management, reduction of human errors that may occur with the use of paper shipping documents, cost reduction, and enhanced efficiency and speed. The electronic record allows for the transfer of ownership of goods electronically during transport and enables the modification of transport instructions through the right of control, thus adding flexibility and speed in completing transactions.
