Abstract

This study examines the impact of international economic globalization policies on decent work standards in Iraq within the context of the economic transformations that have taken place since 2003. It focuses on analyzing the relationship between economic openness and the restructuring of the labor market, along with the resulting changes in employment patterns and working conditions. The study also presents the concept of decent work in accordance with the standards adopted by the International Labour Organization, employing it as an analytical framework to assess the quality of job opportunities in Iraq. Furthermore, it explores the reality of the labor market by examining the spread of informal employment, the weakness of social protection systems, and the decline in levels of job stability.
