Abstract

The Research aims at studying and analyzing the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative, as it represents a qualitative shift in China's strategy to strengthen and develop its relations with the countries of the world. The axes and alliances focus on the economic aspect of them, while not ignoring the political support for them in many issues. The problem of the study started from the statement of the importance of the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative, and its effects and repercussions as an economic project that reflects the new Chinese strategic vision, and in a way that works to restore the nature of balances in the world in a way that paves the way for It occupies a privileged position in the international system, especially as China is expanding its presence in the world, not only in the economic and cultural fields, but also in the diplomatic and defense fields, which enhances its position within the framework of regional and international competition policies. The study came to the conclusion that China sought to employ a soft power strategy through the Belt and Road Initiative, relying on economic power, trade and foreign investment, with the aim of enhancing its influence and expansion in many regions, and in line with its ambitions to emerge as a global power.
