Abstract

The arbitrator enjoys a special status, which gives him powers that help him to manage the arbitration process, and these authorities find their basis in the G legal texts. National legislation and most institutional regulations often stipulate the powers exercised by the arbitrator, but they restrict it to the phrase (unless the parties agree otherwise). The arbitrator shall not exceed the powers granted and shall adhere to these controls throughout the arbitration process. These powers are determined by two main factors: the arbitration agreement and the law. The arbitration agreement may limit the arbitrator's powers, or grant him broad powers. The arbitrator is either appointed by the parties to the dispute or the court or institution to which the parties to the dispute have resorted, and the powers that are granted to the arbitrator facilitate the settlement of the dispute. and among these powers is what he undertakes before the arbitration procedures. and some of them he undertakes during the arbitration procedures.
